PGY 5

As a chief resident you will continue hone your surgical and diagnostic skills in preparation for practice or fellowship. You will continue to serve as back-up for junior residents on call, and do not have any primary call shifts in your final year. Chiefs are in charge of the daily education schedule and becomes increasingly exposed to the administrative aspects of medicine and medical education.
